About Our Practice
The Center for Neuromuscular Dentistry desires excellent dental health for all of
our patients. We achieve this care by incorporating neuromuscular dental concepts.
Traditional dentistry only addresses concerns about hard tissues -
teeth & joints. Neuromuscular dentistry goes beyond this addressing
both hard tissues and more importantly soft tissues: muscles & nerves.
When harmony of the teeth, the facial muscles and the jaw exist our patients
not only find relief from TMD symptoms but also a significant increase in the longevity
of needed restorations and natural dentition.
Our neuromuscular staff is headed by Dr. Inna Shturman. Dr. Shturman
has been trained in neuromuscular concepts at the prestigious LV Institute for
Advanced Dental Studies. Our practice utilizes the latest in both dental
and medical technology. This post-graduate training and technology are essential
in determining the optimum objective physiological rest position of the jaw. This
proper rest position is imperative to alleviating chronic pain
and other symptoms along with any needed restoration.
